Wonderful Mother!

I finally made it down to my craft room tonight, it has been days since I got to make anything! We recently got Craig a new youth bed so bed time has been taking a little longer then normal, by the time I get him to sleep I am too tired or it is to late to start a project. Today the boys got so much fresh air with the 18 degree weather that they fell asleep within 10 minutes of being in bed.
Today's card uses Pale Plum and Rich Razzleberry, I think I have used Pale Plum maybe once before. Don't you think these colors really complement each other?

Easter treats

I got this idea from Mary Fish's blog and she used this Treat Bag Tutorial. These treat bags are great for any occasion. They are easy enough to make that you could reproduce several of them to use as favors at a shower.

It's a case!

This card is almost an exact case. My friend, Pat Childs, who is also a Stampin' Up! demonstrator sent me a thank you card that was pretty much the same as this. The differences are that her card was 3" x 6"'s and mine is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"'s, I put my ribbon on the opposite end, and because my card was wider I chose to emboss the bottom of the card. Thanks for the great card Pat!

Summer colors

I know, we have to get through spring before we can move onto summer. I really like these colors together, don't they make you think of summer? I used Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo card stock. I got these color ideas from my fellow demonstrator, Sherri Mills. She showed me a card that she cased from me using these colors.

Cupcakes

Todays card uses the More The Merrier hostess level three stamp set. I haven't used this set for a while, I saw a card on Splitcoast that used it and figured I would dig it out. The DSP is from the Sweet Pea paper pack in the Occasions mini. I chose my to use Old Olive, So Saffron and Pretty in Pink card stock to match the colors in the DSP.

Sports Stars

I took the boys to the YMCA to burn off some of their excess energy and they loved it. They of course went straight for the hockey sticks. I hope they stay interested in sports as they grow up.

Friends Gift Box

It was my sister in law's birthday this week so I decided that I wanted to make something for her. I decided to make a box with cards and a notebook similar to one that I had posted a while ago. I couldn't decide which card I wanted to use so I picked some of my favorites and then had my husband pick the one he thought his sister would like best. The word window says friend to friend so that she can use these cards any time. It is hard to see but the Certainly Celery is embossed using the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.

Love Birds

How pretty are these birds? I saw this technique on Angie Kennedy Juda's blog, her friend made her a card similar to this one. Take a Word Window sheet with the Two Step Bird punch, this will be your template. Use a sponge dauber and ink of your choice and voila. How simple is this?
Tip: if you want to have two birds facing each other, then punch out two templates so the excess ink doesn't smudge onto you card when you reverse it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Craft Time!!

I haven't done anything in My Digital Studio for a while so I thought I would do a scrapbook page using it. I like to have lots of pictures on my pages, I don't normally use a lot of embellishments or DSP so one of my goals is to start using my stash. What is the point in buying it if I don't use it, I don't know what I am saving it for. I laugh at myself when I go to use my nice DSP and then don't because then I won't have it any more. Do you do this to?

Happy Bearthday!

Happy Birthday Jade! Our niece turned 9 this week. I always enjoy making stuff for her because she too likes to craft. I made her a bucket full of craft supplies so she can make cards for her family and friends.

Exciting!

I thought I would share a picture of the shipment I got the other day! I get so excited when the UPS truck pulls up to the house, the boxes had so much stuff in them that the UPS man used a dolly.

More Vintage Vogue

I have had my scallop circle #2 die for sometime now and found I never really use it because I didn't have a quickly available circle to go in it. I am not very good with the Circle Scissor and find it somewhat time consuming (because it takes me so many tries to get a perfect circle without the lip), I am a little bit of a perfectionist when it comes to crafting. Anyway I got the circles #2 die in and figured I would give it a try and I think I will be using these die's together quite regularly.

To make today's card:
C/S: Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum and Whisper White
Ink: Certainly Celery and Perfect Plum
Stamps: Vintage Vogue
Die's/Folders: Scallop Circle #2, Circles #2 and Polka Dot embossing folder
Punches: Word Window and Modern Label
Accessories: Circle Rhinestone brad and Certainly Celery Ribbon

Have a great day!

Friends

I saw a card similar to this on someone's blog, sorry I forget who, it will take me forever to find it. I changed all the colors and designer paper, I don't know that I am really happy with the turnout but thought I would still share the layout with you.
Thanks for stopping by and have an excellent day!
