Still here

I am still here!
I have been super busy the last week and a half. February is normally the slowest month of the year to pass by and normally when we start to get the winter blues. I cannot believe that it is over already, I have had so much on the go with my family, friends, Craig's preschool, crafting of course and so much more that I seriously missed this month. Not complaining that I missed the February blues though! I am going to try and dedicate some time tomorrow to taking some pictures to post, no promises, I have a fundraiser on Saturday so that might take up my day! If I don't take my pictures during the day with the natural light then they end up all yellow looking, only it is hard to find daytime hours lately, there aren't enough.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Baby Carriage Card

I cannot find the blog that I saw these on, all I remember is that her name was Connie, so when I do come across it again I will post it or if you are Connie then please leave me a message and I will link your blog to it.

I changed the carriage colors from the one I saw and my son said 'that baby needs a bottle' so I added that in. The carriage is made using the Scallop Circle Die and the Polka Dot Textured Impressions folder. I free hand cut the opening to the baby carriage, I thought it was easier then using a cutter, I cut out 5-6 scallops depending on the scallop positioning. I used the 1 3/8" and 1/2" Circles for the wheels with a brad in the center. The Lace is the Scallop Border punch with a 1/2" circle to separate them. How cute is the little baby? It was made by Ellen Kemper, she makes wonderful punched art.

Bendel Family Album!

I would like to try and make a full My Digital Studio book this year and then order one. I wanted to make a cover page that had our family picture on it. This picture was our past Christmas one so I thought it would be perfect since it is how the boys are starting the new year. I am excited to start using MDS more, it is such a great program. I find I use it for all sorts of projects, I am very involved with my son's preschool so I am always making sign up sheets and flyers with it. I like to try things on there to make sure I am not going to waste my supplies and it is great to print out larger images for the boy to make crafts with.

Have a great day!

Sweet Valentine!

I have seen cards similar to this only they all use flowers so I thought I would make a Valentine themed one using hearts. It looks a little plain to me, but when ever I add anything else it doesn't look right so this is how it stays! I used the I {Heart} Heart stamp set for some of my hearts, all the SU Heart Punches and the Modern Label Punch. The Sweet Valentine is from the Something to Celebrate Hostess set in the Occasions Mini.

Alphabet Cards

My little baby, Craig, is going into JK next year so I have been working to make sure that he is up to speed on everything he needs to know before he goes. He is pretty good with the alphabet but I want to make sure he can recognize all the letters so I made him these alphabet cards. I figured we could make a game out of it. Ryan, who is 2 can already identify most of the letter too!

Scrapbook pages

I took similar pictures of the boys for their monthly pictures. I am slowly getting caught up on scrapbooking them!

I had to work for Craig's 8 month pictures so I had Jeff take him for me. Do you notice anything wrong in this picture.......he put his shoes on the wrong feet! It was the first thing I noticed, I was teasing him about it again when I made this page!

I used Bermuda Bay and Peach Parfait card stock. I stamped the background page using VersaMark and the umbrella from the Beary Accessories set. I stamped one umbrella on Whisper White and colored and cut it to go along with the title. The Top Note die works great with 8 x 10 Photo pages for journaling.

12x12 Scrapbook Case

I frequently visit Monika Davis's blog to check out her wonderful projects and one day I came across a My Digital Studio scrapbook page (also made the traditional way) that she made and I had to case it. I just happened to have everything she used. I chose to change a few things to suit the picture I wanted to put on it. If you would like to see Monika's then click here or on her name.
Don't you think this is the cutest scrapbook page?

Have a great day!

Christmas 12 x 12 Scrapbook Page

I did this scrapbook layout for my club, I hope everyone liked it! I think my favorite part about having a scrapbook club is that my scrapbooking has a better chance of getting caught up. I think I take way to many pictures to ever really be caught up

To make the Christmas tree and presents I used the Heart, Star and Square punches. I like to sponge all my edges, so yes, I sponged every heart and yes, I had a green thumb when I was done. I know there are the sponge Daubers but I just don't find they get the right effect that I am looking for, for this project anyway. I used snail adhesive because it is somewhat easy to remove if you don't like where your heart ended you. The girls in my class were worried about their tree not being straight but really, what Christmas tree is ever perfectly straight? I cut out the ornaments from the Holiday Happiness stamp set and only used a little glue on the very top so they would pop up a little.

Snow Day 12 x 12

I first made this snowman on a scrapbook page using My Digital Studio and then thought hey, I should bring him to life using my Circle Scissor Plus for my Scrapbook club. I was so excited when I thought of making this jumbo snowman for a scrapbook page I had to make it right away! The pictures you see on this page were my inspiration, the boys had made their very first snowman and were so excited. I guess we both got to get excited over snowman making!

For the snowman you need to make 3 circles measuring 4 1/4", 3 7/8" and 3 1/4". I used two Modern Label's and a Square punch for the top hat. The Holly is made using the small Oval, 1/2" Circle and the 1/4" Circle punches. The eyes are the 1/2" Circle and the mouth is the 3 Punch set. Finally, the arms are made using the snowflake punch.

This was a fun photo shoot with Ryan, he was so squirmy and kept sliding down. I chose black and white pages since the photos are mostly black and white. I wanted to keep it simple and not take away from these adorable pictures. I used two different alphabet dies for the Big Shot and stamped the Forest Friends stamps with Whisper White Craft ink on Black card stock and cut them out.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Scrapbook Page

I had so much fun taking the boys for their pictures every month, they were quite the little posers. This is one of my favorite pictures of Craig, he enjoyed being on the skateboard for a very short time. I think this was the only good picture we got!
I used Certainly Celery and Pacific Point, I never would have thought of this color combo but it may be my new favorite. I edged all the Certainly Celery pieces with Pacific Point and stamped all the little background skateboards with VersaMark. I used Stazon to stamp skateboards on Kraft c/s and colored in the wheels with Pacific Point. I didn't think I would use the Owl punch that much when I got it but I am really enjoying adding it into my scrapbook pages!

Have a great day!
