John Deer Birthday!

The boys were invited to a birthday party today and the theme was John Deer. I wanted to make a tractor card and this is what I came up with. I am not sure what the background wheel is called, it is retired from several catalogues ago. It is hard to see but I sponged the sky with Bashful Blue and the ground with Soft Suede. The presents stacked on the inside of the card are kind of funny looking don't you think? I always like to involve my boys in the card making process when it is for the friends. I asked Craig to pick the present colors and he picked pink so naturally I said 'your friend that is a boy does not want a pink present' and Craig said 'but mom, pigs are pink.' They always have a reason for doing things. So Craig picked Black polka dots to be like a cow, the pink box is for the pig and the Striped boxed is for the chickens and rooster.

To make this card:

Card Stock - Garden Green, Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight
Ink - StazOn Black, Soft Suede, Bashful Blue, Blushing Bride, Old Olive, Black, Cajun Craze, Close to Cocoa and Daffodil Delight
Punches - 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" Square, Scallop Circle, 1 1/4", 1" and 1/2" Circle and Word Window
Other - Wheel ? and Sponges

Have a great day!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter a day late!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and got to spend some time with your families.
I know we had a wonderful day around here!

Todays post is a scrapbook layout that I did for my club last week. I was very happy with how it turned out they and are my favorite pages right now! I took lots of pictures of the boys and their cousins yesterday and cannot wait to fill in the blanks. Theses pages are perfect for someone who enjoys punched art, that is probably why I like them so much. I thought Chocolate Chip has the perfect name and color for my Easter themed page, the Kraft really compliments it. The A Good Egg stamp set inspired my punched chick popping out of a cracked egg.

To make these pages:

Card Stock - Chocolate Chip. Kraft, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black
Stamps - Inspired By Nature and A Good Egg
Ink - VersaMark
Punches - Wide Oval, Large Oval, Small Oval, 1 1/4", 1", 1/2", 1/4" Circles, Snowflake, Star, Two Step Owl and Two Step Bird.
Big Shot - Alphabet Simple Letters
Other - Dimensionals, White Gel Pen and Zig Zag scissors to cut the egg

Have a great day!

Baby Book!

I like to make little baby books using the Top Note die. I originally started making these so that I could keep track of things that the boys were doing as they grew. Since I don't need them for the boys anymore I make them and give them with baby shower gifts. The dragonfly is punch art that I designed when Ryan was about 6 months old, I got the idea from one of his sleepers.

To make your own notebook:

Die's - Top Note and Naturally Serif
Card Stock - Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Black
Punches - Word Window, 3/4" Circle, 1/2" Circle, 1/4" Circle and crop-A-dile
Other - Computer paper and ring

Have a great day!

Basketball

This was the stamp set that Craig got for Christmas, he asks to stamp with it all the time. Craig thought it was pretty neat that I used his stamp set to make a card. This card is basically the same as the soccer post from the other day. I chose not to do the grass since basketball is played on a court not the grass.

Have a great day!

Sponge Dauber Medallion

I did a fundraiser for my son's preschool and wanted to recreate this older card using new colors and this is what I came up with. I have been using marina mist a lot lately, it just might be becoming my new favorite color!
To make the Medallion two colors you first ink the entire stamp with your lighter color and then use a sponge dauber to go around the edges and inner circle. Tip - I would daube my scrap paper before re-inking my dauber so that I would not get the opposite color on my ink pad.

To make this card:

Stamp Set - Medallion
Card Stock - Perfect Plum, Marina Mist and Whisper White
Ink - Marina Mist and Perfect Plum
Ribbon - 5/8" Marina Mist Grosgrain
Punches - Scallop Trim Border

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
